In its first of two concerts at New Music Dublin 2026, Ensemble Musikfabrik presents a concert dedicated to its brass players. Presented by New Music Dublin with support from the Arts Council and in partnership with RTÉ and the National Concert Hall.

This programme features three recent works created in close collaboration with the ensemble: Jānis Petraškevičs’ Slēptā gaisma (Hidden Light) (2025), Camila Agosto’s Shimmer Furnace (2025) and Ailís Ní Ríain’s and still it breathes… (2025) — all Irish premieres. Together, these pieces explore the physicality of breath, resonance, and light, revealing the expressive and experimental potential of contemporary brass music shaped directly with the performers who bring it to life.
